H.B.K.'ites Blogspotting in a Caption Contest - THE WINNERS

H B. K.’ites Blogspotting in a
Caption Contest

The students of XI-Science and Commerce participated in a contest wherein they had to put up a befitting caption to the above picture but on the School Blog.
They were given 2 days to think of an ideal caption having words not more than fifteen. The students participated with a lot of zeal & fervour . The captions they blogged were imaginitive, colourful with a definite message in them. The idea of this contest was firstly, to sharpen their thinking prowess; secondly, to make them use the Net constructively & last but not the least, to inculcate in them a Reading habit as they had to browse through a number of books to reach a befitting title. By the kind of mind boggling participation of the students the aim was completely achieved. The panel of judges comprising of teachers and ex-students judged the winners. Some of the winning captions are : -

The ALMIGHTY gives birth to a LIFE ; but it’s MOTHER who makes the LIFE live.
JAY A. PATEL
XI - Science
The nature is speechless………….. but its feelings are expressed all over…
Utsavi Parikh
XI - Science
Children & Mothers never truly part ; Bound in the beating of each other’s heart.
Deepti Kamra
XI – Commerce

The caption contest was really very fruitful to us.We are really interested in these types of contests as teachers and Principal mam would be able to peep inside our brains and would come to know what exactly are we thinking. These contests help in upbringing students' skills.

These types of contests should timely be taken so that students also involve in these type of activities instead of being bookworms.

A mother is a person who seeing there are only four pieces of pie for five people, promptly announces she never did care for pie.

Youth fades; love droops; the leaves of friendship fall; A mother's secret hope outlives them all.

Mother is the name for God in the lips and hearts of little children.

Mother - that was the bank where we deposited all our hurts and worries.

Good photograph. Inspires me to write a few words : Someone has very rightly said that " Pahela Aansoo Aavta Tyare Maa Yaad Aavti Ane Have Maa Yaad Aave Tyare Aansoo Aave Chhe". (Earlier, whenever I used to weep, I remembered my mother. Now, whenever I remember her, I weep.)

So, love & be grateful to your parents. They are always with you, even when, you feel God is not listening to you.

Children! keep indulging in such activities and hone your writing skills.
